There are many trends in cosmetic surgery, but none more significant than the use of injectables to soften wrinkles, fill deep lines, and make lips look full and fresh. Non Surgical Face lift might be your best option.
As we get older, it becomes more difficult to retain the youthful, healthy glow. The dermis or skin gradually loses its major constituents: collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, and begins to appear drier and thinner. Collagen, the protein that binds the skin together acts as the major support protein for our skin, elastin allows our skin to stay firm and resist wrinkles and hyaluronic acid helps to trap water and add volume and shape to our face.

As these constituents begin to break down wrinkles start to show around the eyes and mouth. Loss of volume in the upper part of the face (under the eyes and cheek area) leads to loose sagging skin in the lower part of the face and deeper lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers are used to plump up these areas and fill in deeper lines and wrinkles as well as enhance lips and replace soft-tissue volume loss.
The newest non-surgical treatments are popular for several reasons as people continue to look for low-down time procedures that offer immediate results. Dermal fillers are being used more and more to help reverse the changes associated with aging. Because the goal is to return the dermis to its original youthful state, dermal fillers in many cases can give a more natural appearance than surgical options alone. These treatments are non-surgical, require no downtime, and are cost effective. The only downside is that most injectables are short lived. Most patients consider treatments as part of their appearance maintenance as they do with their hair, nails and other personal maintenance routines.
The “NSFL” Non-Surgical Face Lift developed here at Premier Image Cosmetic & Laser Surgery is basically a face lift in syringes performed by the skillful, experienced hands of leading facial plastic surgeon Dr. Louis DeJoseph.
The treatment incorporates the use of Botox, Sculptra, Restylane, Radiesse and other dermal fillers to restore a more youthful, attractive appearance.
Several classes of dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments are marketed in the United States. They include collagen based fillers, hyaluronic based fillers and calcium hydroxyl apatite fillers. These fillers can last from three months to three years depending on the filler being used and the area being treated.
The dermal filler Sculptra is in a class of medications known as bioactivators used to stimulate the growth of collagen and provide a gradual increase in skin thickness. Sculptra should be used in patients with volume loss and thinning skin. Sculptra is given in a series of treatments to fill sunken cheeks and thicken the under side of your skin. Sculptra should be repeated every two to three years and is a great maintenance program on patients with signs of volume loss or thinning skin.
Other fillers like Radiesse are long lasting and are great for use in the deep smile lines that run from the nose to the corner of your mouth. Radiesse is a newly approved dermal filler with results that last up to two years. The filler is significantly thicker than other dermal fillers and for that reason is used to fill the deep smile lines and correct scar depressions.

Smoother dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvaderm are used for plumping lips filling fine lines around the lips and eyes. The hottest new application called the “VUE“ Volume Undereye Enhancement developed here at Premier Image fills under eyelid areas where dark circles are the result of fat bulging and exaggerated by loss of volume. This loss of volume creates a dark, hollow area called the “tear trough”. By placing a filler into this tear trough area, there is less shadow and therefore improvement in dark circles, making you look more youthful and rested.
Botox by Allergan injections are used to smooth moderate to severe frown lines of the forehead, between the brows, and crows feet. Botox is injected under the skin to weaken muscles in the forehead and around the eyes that pull the skin and cause wrinkles. The overlying skin remains smooth and unwrinkled for three to six months.
Newly approved products are just around the corner like Perlane, a version of Restylane (hyaluronic acid) made up of larger particles designed for deeper wrinkles and areas in need of greater volume enhancement.
