Dr. Alexandra Michalowski
Dr. Michalowski grew up between Baltimore and New York. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience before obtaining her Doctor of Medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
She then completed five years of residency training in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, where she received comprehensive surgical training across Weill Cornell, Columbia University, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. During her residency, Dr. Michalowski’s research centered on craniofacial surgery and cleft palate repair—work that first inspired her passion for facial plastic surgery.
Following residency, Dr. Michalowski was selected for advanced fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under the mentorship of Dr. DeJoseph at Premier Image. Alongside her fellowship, she serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Emory University and a Clinical Instructor at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she provides care for veterans and trains Emory otolaryngology residents.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Michalowski enjoys exploring Georgia with her husband and children, reading, and pursuing creative hobbies such as wheel pottery. Upon completion of her fellowship, she plans to return to New York to continue her career in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
