Paul P. Daraei, MD is a Board Eligible head and neck surgeon specializing in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Daraei specializes in aesthetic surgical and non-surgical procedures of the face, nose, neck, and scalp. He has a specific interest in rhinoplasty and hair restoration surgery and dedicates the majority of his time and practice to subspecialization in these areas. He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Originally from Southern California, Dr. Daraei completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. During his undergraduate studies, he studied neuroscience and also discovered his passion for facial analysis, photography.
He realized quickly that face-to-face interactions are the cornerstone of socialization, interpersonal relationships, and are critical for self-esteem and confidence. He decided early during his undergraduate studies at UCLA to pursue Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His goal was and continues to be to help people achieve their aesthetic goals and improve their level of self-esteem and confidence. After obtaining his degree with highest honors at UCLA, he moved to Atlanta to complete his medical school training at Emory University. There, he graduated at the top of his class and received multiple distinctions, including election to Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) in his junior year and served as President of AOA during his senior year.
After medical school, Dr. Daraei completed his surgical residency training in Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University. During residency, he participated in numerous research endeavors, received multiple research and teaching awards, and authored many peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Daraei then completed a highly rigorous and competitive fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with world-renowned facial plastic surgeon Dr. Daniel Rousso in Birmingham, AL. This fellowship focused on cosmetic procedures of the face, nose, neck, and scalp and was completed under the auspices of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Daraei’s main focus outside of work is his family. He met his wife, Ashley, during residency while she was working as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She is a native of Atlanta and, together, they have a one-year old baby boy named Luca. Outside of the office, Dr. Daraei enjoys spending time with his family, cooking for his wife and son, running, reading, and playing golf.
Dr. Daraei prides himself on attention to detail and is meticulous in his approach. He is passionate about delivering the highest quality care to his patients and their families. Dr. Daraei understands that each patient is unique; for this reason, he focuses on the patient’s desires in order to achieve their unique aesthetic goals.
