Dr. Johnny Mao has been chosen for this year’s American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Premier Image, where he is under the preceptorship of Dr. Louis DeJoseph. Premier Image Cosmetic and Laser Surgery is extremely proud to take part in this highly competitive program, where only 46 fellows are chosen each year from accredited otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency programs throughout the country.

Premier Image is the only accredited Atlanta metropolitan area facility, as well as in the entire state of Georgia, to train and mentor other facial plastic surgeons in the art and skills of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. The AAFPRS Foundation Fellowship is widely respected by the medical community and represents the finest post-residency fellowship program in the world for the training of facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons.
After completing his undergraduate education at the University of California at Davis, Dr. Mao graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine with his medical degree. His post-doctoral training began with a general surgery internship at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University and an otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency at Wayne State University. Dr. Mao is board certified and a fully trained otolaryngology-head and neck surgeon. He was an attending physician and surgeon last year with Fallon Clinic (multispecialty medical group) in Worcester, Massachusetts and performed functional septorhinoplasty, functional blepharoplasty, local head and neck flaps for skin cancer reconstruction, as well as repair of traumatic facial skeleton injury. Dr. Mao looks forward to his training at Premier Image, and to exploring the Atlanta area.
