The fastest growing segment in the field of cosmetic medicine are the facial fillers and injectables. There are a variety of products that we offer at Premier Image and understanding what each product does and the differences between products can be confusing. Injectables and fillers include a variety of materials, which last for different lengths of time and have different effects and uses. The descriptions of each below should give you a good overview. Depending on your desired outcome we can help you decide which product or products would be right for you.

BOTOX®

BOTOX® Cosmetic, or botulinum toxin type A, is a protein commonly used to non-surgically reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. The injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the skin a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® Cosmetic may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

DYSPORT

atlanta dysport atlanta restylane Dysport is a prescription injection for temporary improvement in the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults less than 65 years of age.

By injecting Dysport into areas of the face where frown lines appear, the signal from the nerve to the muscles are stopped. Muscle activity is reduced and frown lines are greatly diminished.

Other muscles of the face that are not treated by Dysport remain unaffected, allowing you to freely show facial expressions.

There is no downtime with Dysport.You can go about your normal activities immediately after having the treatment. Results should be complete after just a few days and usually lasts 4 to 5 months.You should wait at least 90 days between Dysport treatments.

Call your doctor or get medical help right away if you have any problems swallowing, speaking, or breathing. If this happens, do not drive a car, operate machinery, or do other dangerous activities.

XEOMIN®

Introducing Xeomin, the latest injectable botulinium type A injectable to join Botox and Dysport in the temporary reduction of forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and crow's feet. All 3 are FDA approved and Premier Image now offers all 3 products for you to choose from. Xeomin has been used in Europe since 2008 and is now available in the Atlanta market at just a select few practices.

Introducing Xeomin All injections of Xeomin, Botox or Dysport are performed by one of the board certified physicians, Dr. William Silver, Dr.Louis DeJoseph or Dr. Marc Klein. They are also available at each of the Premier Image locations in Dunwoody or Roswell. Before any treatment they will discuss with you your choices to ensure that the outcome of your procedure matches your goals, expectations and budget.

Typically it takes 3 to 4 days for botulinium toxins to begin showing results with maximum relaxation seen after 1 to 2 weeks. The benefit of the injectables lasts ana verage of 4 months. Once it wears off, the wrinkles will return, but they are not worse.

Xeomin was developed by the MerzPharmaceuticals Group, a world-wide healthcare company with subsidiaries and operations in over 100 countries. Medical professionals and consumers alike share a high level of confidence in Merz products.

RESTYLANE®

Radiesse

Formerly known as Radience, Radiesse is a synthetic injectable filler that non-surgically reduces most wrinkles, creases and scars by augmenting your body's natural collagen supply. Composed of microspheres in a biocompatible gel, Radiesse is made from the same minerals found in our bones, so it carries no risk of allergic reaction – just one of its advantages over alternative treatments. Radiesse can be used on many areas of the body, but the most effective areas treated are the nasolabial folds, peri-oral lines, depressed scars and oral commissures.

Sculptra™

Sculptra™ is a new injectable product used to fill in sunken areas of the face in patients who suffer from lipoatrophy or "facial wasting," the loss of fat beneath the skin. Injected into the deep dermis layer of the skin, Sculptra increases skin thickness over time to improve the appearance of sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, indentations and wrinkles. There is no need for allergy testing, since Sculptra's main component is poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic polymer in the alpha-hyrdoxy-acid family that has been used for 20 years in surgical products such as dissolvable sutures and bone screws.

Juvederm

The new group of 2nd generation, advanced dermal fillers includes JUVEDERM Ultra and Perlane. These provide more enduring results than earlier products and can be used to lift or contour any number of facial features.

Juvederm is a smooth gel filler that is manufactured using HYLACROSS technology. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. With only one treatment, you'll get smooth and natural-looking results that last up to one year.

Perlane

Perlane is an injectable filler that improves facial wrinkles and folds, and even plumps lips and fills in scars. It is made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body, which provides volume to the skin. It contains no animal products so no allergy testing is required. Perlane is injected directly into the treatment area and usually lasts up to a year or more. Results are seen immediately.

Fat Transfer

Fat grafting fills facial features with a patient's own fat. The fat used for fat transfer is extracted from parts of your body like the abdomen or thighs and injected into another area that requires plumping. Since the fat is your own, a significant portion of the fat becomes permanent, and therefore it eliminates the need for constant reinjections, as with other materials.

Liquid Lift

In the past only a traditional facelift could restore the balance of a youthful face, but renowned facial plastic surgeons, Dr. William E. Silver and Dr. Louis DeJoseph have mastered a liquid solution.

Lip Augmentation:

The lips are one of the most beautiful features of the human face. They provide expression to the face, they are an essential portion of the face and augmenting them or changing the appearance of them can have an incredible effect on the face.

Lip augmentation sometimes gets a bad rap. We've all been to the supermarket or the mall and see people walking around who obviously had their lips overfilled. This tends to scare a lot of people. The reality of it is this does not have to be the case. The lips can be injected in many different ways.

Let's break it down to a couple of different things. One is that people need a structure injection, where they need a little shape along the edges of the lip. Then there's the second portion, a volume injection where someone needs more size to the lip. Then there's the combination of both, where we need more structure to the lip and more size to the lip.

Restylane is the dermal filler that we most often use for the lips. Restylane is a non-animal, clear gel that is reported to be very close to the hyaluronic acid found naturally in the body. Injections usually last up to a year or longer. Some swelling, redness, and tenderness may occur immediately after treatment but normally only lasts a few days.

When one thinks about a beautiful lip on a face it should not be the first thing that you see when a person is walking toward you. The lips should be subtle to fit your face. So, not everyone needs to have those huge "duck lips".
